Legal Billing Specialist

Location: Colombia (Remote)
Contract Type: Full-time – Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, business hours (aligned with U.S. client schedule)

About the Role

We’re looking for a Legal Billing Specialist who’s detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to make an impact. In this role, you’ll ensure our clients receive accurate and timely invoices, working closely with attorneys, paralegals, and admin teams across exciting practice areas like insurance defense, general litigation, construction defect, real estate, and workers’ compensation.

What you’ll do

- Prepare, review, and finalize invoices, making sure they meet all client and firm requirements.

- Double-check pre-bills to ensure all time and expenses are correct.

- Work with insurance reps, lawyers, and paralegals to resolve any billing issues.

- Submit invoices using e-billing platforms (Tymetrix, Counsel Link, Legal-X, Legal Exchange).

- Track invoices, follow up on payments, and resubmit when needed.

- Respond to client and internal billing questions quickly and professionally.

- Create and review billing reports to spot trends and opportunities.

- Support month-end closing and special projects.

What you bring

- 1+ years of legal billing experience (law firm background is a plus).

- Hands-on experience with e-billing platforms.

- Strong knowledge of legal billing formats and UTBMS codes.

- Good skills in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel is a must!).

- A sharp eye for detail and accuracy.

- Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude.

- The ability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
